Description

Carrick Hill is a South Australian tourism attraction, which features the heritage listed house, art collections, and heritage listed landscaped gardens.

The master plan for Carrick Hill was developed by Walter Brooke in 2013. The master plan was designed to ensure the future viability of the historic house and gardens of Carrick Hill, its assets and activities on the site.

The guiding principles included optimising heritage and environmental values of the site, fostering Carrick Hill’s role as a good neighbour and promoting sound commercially effective business outcomes.

Following stakeholder and community consultation, the master plan identified opportunities for Carrick Hill to increase visitor numbers and generate more revenue in order to create a financially sustainable future.

Walter Brooke’s project team, together with Oxigen and BDO Organisational Development, provided all aspects of the master plan including the business case study.

Carrick Hill chair Kathy Massey noted that she did not believe Walter Brooke would be so successful in bringing all parties together to create such an outstanding outcome.
